If you were following my last post here about this car, you'll recall that I picked up this '95 GP with just over 100k miles on it and was told it had a cracked head. That didn’t bother me too much—I figured it was an easy fix. However, after tearing down the engine today, I discovered the block is cracked. This opens up several options for me:
A. Swap in my spare 3400.
B. Do an OBD2 swap and still use the 3400, but with a 4T65HD transmission.
C. Swap in a 3800, which requires me to fabricate a harness.
D. Do an OBD2 swap, perform a 3400/3500 hybrid swap with a cam and a 4T65HD transmission, and tune it.
E. Use a 282 5-speed or an F40 6-speed with the other engine options.
F. LS4 + 4T80 or 4T64HD
I’ll need to create a parts list and decide which route to take.
