I stumbled upon this car around 2005 at a small used car lot that looked more like a shade tree operation. The engine's top end was completely torn apart, but the body and interior were in great shape, so I wasn’t too concerned about the motor. I made an offer of $200, and the owner took it.

I had it towed home, bought some new gaskets, reassembled the engine, threw in a battery—and it fired right up! I had a blast with this car. I added a pair of Flowmaster 40s and did a cat delete, and let me tell you, it sounded incredible.

Later on, I swapped in a Series 2 3800 with a 4T65E and upgraded the front cradle and suspension. I’ll be posting some pictures of the build soon, so stay tuned!

Looks identical to the one my wife had! Same year, same color in & out! Except my wife’s wheels were gold instead of black.

She real liked that car too. But once again Northeast Ohio winters claimed that one too. Needed to dump it before the obvious corrosion became evident. That’s when I got her the white “03” GP.
