If you were following my last post here about this car, you'll recall that I picked up this '95 GP with just over 100k miles on it and was told it had a cracked head. That didn’t bother me too much—I figured it was an easy fix. However, after tearing down the engine today, I discovered the block is cracked. This opens up several options for me:

A. Swap in my spare 3400.
B. Do an OBD2 swap and still use the 3400, but with a 4T65HD transmission.
C. Swap in a 3800, which requires me to fabricate a harness.
D. Do an OBD2 swap, perform a 3400/3500 hybrid swap with a cam and a 4T65HD transmission, and tune it.
E. Use a 282 5-speed or an F40 6-speed with the other engine options.
F. LS4 + 4T80 or 4T64HD

I’ll need to create a parts list and decide which route to take.

I think option B would be a decent approach to take. It could be an interesting project to showcase, and could enable others to do as well. Something newish and refreshing.

Option D, shit will be unique and cool

I like option F plus a turbo 😂 and I have another set of TGP badges too

lol built 3400 would be sick to me. Need more 60° builds

Another cool idea would be a 3900/lz9 swap, 240 hp right out of the gate and definitely can pull more out of it while still being reliable, that’d be cool to see in a 1g w body.

I didn't post or say anything about it but im actually in the process or getting pinouts for all wbody PCMs to convert OBD1 over to the newer PCMs but cable and drive by wire options so these types of swaps are easier to do. I will have a article about this once I'm done my research.

That’s going to be awesome! will be really sick to see that happen

This project is on hold until further notice.
