Something that could help us reach people would be to have someone dedicated to reaching out to others to do pr work, One idea i think might work is a yearly car meet, where we alp meet up in person either with our rides, or with tools and experience to help others with the random thing at the meet up.

There is only so much that can be done online with talk, text, and video calls

I’m with EL on possibly organizing meets, I also think having WBT “sponsor” a few ppl’s cars could be huge. Throw em some stickers, maybe a hat, and have them rep what we’ve got going on here. Like meets, it also puts more focus in the real-world.

I would love to organize a meet somewhere out of state. Were all very far away which sucks but i normally see a lot of fwd gm / W body meets in Michigan and Ohio which are both reachable for me.

I'm not sure how to respond to this. I made a detailed post so I could work on improving the community. How do we jump into car meets when we have a tiny user base? I'd love to host a car meet, however, those days are gone for now, without a large community with active members this is not going to be an achievable goal.... I'm really trying here guys... All this work I've out into WBT since 2011 and we want car meets.

I don’t think hosting a meet has to solely be on you. There’s clearly at minimum 4-5 of us that are willing to pick a day to all just show up and show out, even if the meet only ends up being us 5. This community isn’t the biggest but we’re still here, and I feel that matters so much more than a high turnout does.

I think one major issue is actually finding this form. Go to google.com and type anything related to a wbody and this form doesn't seem to show up for some reason. I think there needs to be some optimization done to make this forum actually show up higher in a Google search.

Just to answer a few things here,

The forums haven't been active until 3rd quarter of 2024, we didn't have much on here as it was rebuilt from the group up in 2022/2023 and revamped in 2024. We have everything going on the SEO side and it will show up in Google depending on your algorithm, this will change for everyone. Could it be better? Definitely and we are working on it, the more the website is used, the more Google will pick it up, and sharing posts to social media (Which I've asked the team to help with) and other websites will also boost the Google score, I know it shows up better on DuckDuckGo, I haven't put much time into Bing.

We are on Reddit and the links are on every social media account we own and on both the forums and the main website. Unfortunately, it's just myself doing the websites, YouTube, and social media account management since 2009, Alec just started taking a portion of that over recently with the user-submitted "share my ride" side of things which has helped take some of that off my plate. I'm very active in the backend of things such as coding, updating, and modifying social media accounts and Discord.

I'm currently working on a redesign of the main website which has taken a lot of my time from other sections but it's needed right now, once that new design is out, it will work together with social media and the forums in a more fluid way.

This was a good reply and much appreciated, thank you for asking, and feel free to share more ideas, they are always welcome as we are looking to improve the community.
